SALT  1996-2006

Negative Ions I and II, and Salt, Half Heard, in salt boulder and granular form designed to interact with a slow drip of water, accom-panied by a salt work titled, Six Continents, consisting of salt taken from each continent, are included in a variety of installations, in-cluding one in a Rome where the dripping action took place through a square cut between two floors. The text is by the artist, ac-companied by reviews and comments by John Cage, Thomas McEvilley, Peter Frank, and Christopher Knight.43 pages of 7x 5 inch archival inkjet prints of salt sculptures and installation shots; housed in a 71/2 x 5 1/2 inch box, wrapped in an inner sleeve.                                                                                             

 

RADIO ROCKS  1998-2008

Exhibition at Larry Becker Contemporary Art, Philadelphia, PA

Radios using pyrite, galena, hematite and flurite mixers to access local and short-wave signals, accompanied by microwave recievers picking up sounds identified as echoes of the Big Bang, along with a computer hookup to live radio emissions from Jupiter trans-mitted on a dedicated line from a radio telescope at Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute (PARI) in Rosman, North Carolina are each mounted on various stone cairns which act as atennas; 30 pages of 7 x 5 inch archival inkjet prints of plans and installation shots accompanied with a CD of the portfolio, each page has sounds of radio emissions from Jupiter, Mars, Saturn and Earth. The portfolio is housed in a 71/2 x 5 1/2 inch box, wrapped in an inner sleeve.
